We are excited to announce our upcoming DBT Skills group! Whether you're new to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) or looking to enhance your existing skills, our group sessions will provide comprehensive support and practical guidance.
What is DBT:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) blends Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy & Mindfulness techniques, offering a powerful framework for managing emotions, fostering healthier relationships, and crafting a fulfilling life.
No diagnosis needed…anyone can benefit!
Our group is focused on learning the skills associated with DBT -
Emotional Regulation,
Mindfulness,
Distress Tolerance and
Interpersonal Effectiveness
Learning these skills is a great way to supplement your individual therapy or to improve your quality of life. These skills also assist to make decisions in a mindful and considered way, rather than acting on auto-pilot or being subject to emotional reasoning.
The group format enables people to seek validation and support in a non-judgemental and affirming environment. We don’t ask you to share your personal history, just to listen, learn and contribute to discussions as you wish.
